From July 16 (Sat) to July 24 (Sun) 2022, UltraSuperNew Gallery Harajuku will present Naorin’s first solo exhibition, “Seifuku Wo Nuganai Watashitachi Wa” (We Who Don’t Take Off Our Uniforms).

This exhibition will feature over 70 black-and-white works drawn with pencil and mechanical pencil, under the theme of the unusual daily lives of girls who have difficulty living. T-shirts, tote bags, zines, and other merchandise will also be available for purchase.

“Girls wear uniforms as armor to protect themselves and prevent others from harm, and to protect themselves from the “evil” of danger and fear that looms in the crevices of their minds. This is a funny and dark portrayal of girls seeking a little relief from the distortion of their daily lives.”

Artist who draws monochrome illustrations using pencil and mechanical pencil, with themes of distorted emotions with a bit of tenderness.
